  • Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account, whether authorized by you or not
  • Promptly notifying us of any unauthorized access or security breach
  • Ensuring that your account information remains accurate and up to date

You may not share your account credentials with any other person. If you are an attorney or professional using the Platform on behalf of a client, you represent that you have the authority and consent to do so.

5. User Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data, content, documents, images, and information that you upload to or create within the Platform ("User Content"). MyCourtDocs does not claim ownership rights over your User Content.

By using the Platform, you grant MyCourtDocs a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete your User Content or your account.

6. AI Features & Limitations

MyCourtDocs may offer features that utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies ("AI Features") to assist with organizing, categorizing, summarizing, or analyzing your documentation.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies
  • AI Features are provided as organizational aids and do not constitute legal advice, medical advice, or professional recommendations of any kind
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated output before relying on it or presenting it in any legal or official proceeding
  • MyCourtDocs makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose
  • AI-generated suggestions should be reviewed by a licensed attorney before being used in court filings or legal proceedings

7. Subscription & Billing Terms

7.1 Free Trial

New users may be eligible for a 3-day free trial with access to all Platform features. Upon expiration of the trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the then-current rate ($19.99/month) unless you cancel before the trial ends.

7.2 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All fees are quoted and charged in U.S. dollars. You authorize MyCourtDocs to charge your designated payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel your subscription.

7.3 Refund Policy

First-time subscribers are eligible for a full refund if the cancellation request is submitted within 3 calendar days of the initial paid charge. After this window, all fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

7.4 Price Changes

MyCourtDocs reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Continued use of the Platform after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the Platform until the end of your current billing period. No partial-month refunds will be issued.

8. Data Retention & Deletion Policy

MyCourtDocs retains your User Content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide the Service to you.

Upon account deletion:

  • We will initiate deletion of your User Content within 30 days of your request
  • Certain data may be retained for up to 90 days in encrypted backup systems before being permanently removed
  • Anonymized, aggregated data that does not identify you may be retained for analytical and improvement purposes
  • Data required to be retained by law, regulation, or legal process will be preserved as necessary

You may request a full export of your data at any time prior to account deletion by contacting our support team.

9. Security & System Availability

MyCourtDocs implements commercially reasonable security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security assessments.

However, no system is completely secure. We do not guarantee that our security measures will prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, or loss of data. You acknowledge that you provide your data at your own risk.

We strive to maintain high availability of the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may experience downtime due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

10. Compelled Disclosure

MyCourtDocs may disclose your User Content if required to do so by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process. Where permitted by law, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you prior to such disclosure.

You acknowledge that data stored on the Platform may be subject to legal discovery requests in the course of litigation. MyCourtDocs is not responsible for, and will comply with, lawful requests for data from courts, law enforcement agencies, or other governmental bodies.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

MyCourtDocs does not warrant that: (a) the Platform will meet your specific requirements; (b) the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (c) the results obtained from using the Platform will be accurate or reliable; or (d) any errors in the Platform will be corrected.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MYCOURTDOCS, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid by you to MyCourtDocs during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

This limitation applies regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if MyCourtDocs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MyCourtDocs, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your use of the Platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party
  • Any User Content you upload, store, or transmit through the Platform
  • Your use of AI-generated content in legal proceedings or otherwise

14. Termination

MyCourtDocs may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include, but are not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Uploading false or fabricated documentation
  • Using the Platform to harass, threaten, or defame any person
  • Engaging in any activity that is illegal or harmful to the Platform or other users
  • Non-payment of subscription fees

Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — will continue in full force and effect.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Denton County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

15.1 Optional Arbitration

At the election of either party, any dispute arising under these Terms may be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Denton County, Texas, and shall be conducted by a single arbitrator. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding, and judgment upon the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Either party may opt out of this arbitration provision by providing written notice to the other party within 30 days of accepting these Terms.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and MyCourtDocs regarding the use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings, whether written or oral.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The failure of MyCourtDocs to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
